Market researchers from In-Stat believe that DVI shipments will “begin a steep decline” in 2008: The technology has been included in more than 112 million devices in 2007, but will only be included in an estimated 3 million devices in 2011, according to In-Stat.
Brian O’Rourke, an analyst with In-Stat, said that 143 million HDMI devices shipped in 2007; 90% of all digital TVs shipped during the year included HDMI.
