Last week i changed from xp to vista .Before that i used to play farcry (completely installed ) in high settings .The thing was running quite well.My pc config is c2d e4400,geforce 8600 gt,1 gb ram .
Then i installed vista and instead of upgrading i did clean install . Now I have the habit of taking game discs ( LEGAL DISC ) from my friend and installing them to pc and play that is i do not copy them .
After vista was installed i checked playibility of every game with previously saved profile.Every other game is running fine except FAR CRY .It starts coreectly shows the background video in glory ,but when i load the game ,it consist of an infinite mist ,even you cannot see the enemies (it assume the color that the terrain is like green in valley and red in other terrain )
I installed the latest direct x (Nov 2007 ) , and updated card drivers (GEFORCE 8600 GT ) .But problem remains .Now i cannot apply any patch as i think the patch will not recognise copied game without registry. What can i do despite running under legal provision?
