For that budget I would say you are better off with onboard. That would be just recommending a graphic card equivalent of your onboard which would just be a small notch above your onboard. It's better you save up for later & get yourself a mid range card.

The least you can get now is an 8600 GT for about 5.5k .

probably u m8 get 8400GS in under 3-3.5k....but its not worth buying...increase ur budget to atleast 5k to get a decent enough graphics card.

where in the world?

And also XFX 8400Gs is for 2.3k.
It shud do and is best under 2.5k range. Better than 7300GT.

yeah XFX 8400gs 256MB onboard is available for Rs. 2200 at lamington and its actually not that bad. 8400gs can run all current games at low to medium settings.NFS PS(a really bad game) can be run at 1024 n max settings. It could even run the Crysis demo at 1024*768 without antialiasing ofcourse.
COD4 runs at 1024 n max settings with decent frame rates.

yeah but if u can increase ur budget then definitely go for a 8600gt which costs around Rs.5500 or less, total vfm.

in 2k u have no options .. its as simple as this ..
either go for 8400GS whivch will still be out of ur budget but just ..
in that u cannot play the latest high end games .. and ok ok graphics for medium range games like 800*600 resolution will be fyn ..

but if u like gaming and want to get a good card... then next step is 8600GT which is around 5.. or less than that as stated...

do read about the cards before u go onto purchase them .. system compatibility and how good it will be for ur rig..

U have a slightly better option, ie 8500GT for 3.4k.
Its gud but falls beneath 8600GT by some margin..

BTW..there is so many GOKUs in here.:D
