Is it safe to buy from eBay???

Hi Guys!

I have been a member of eBay since 2002 and have sold and brought a lot of products, all within India. I want to buy a product from eBay.com, seller from US with very good reputation. The problem is I dont have a Credit Card or a PayPal account. So, how do I pay the seller (in Dollars) and is it safe to buy a product from US. What are the tax liablilties that I will have to fullfill and is there any other thing that I should take care of.

Please share your personal experience.

Americans shop more online than we do. Shopping is safe from Ebay.com aslong as you know what you are doing. Buying from Reputed seller.

Also be aware of product you are buying as it can create problems with Customs. Ask seller if he has ever shipping to india successfully by filing "gift" on the custom form

You will need Credit Card or Paypal since Paypal offers Added Security features :)
