hi
i am taking AMD64 3200+ and MSI RS480 motherboard.
my assembler is suggesting me to take VOLCANO fan for cooling.
** but many friends told me tht if u use ne other fan than fan provided by amd then warranty is not valid **
is it true?
wat should i do?
pls reply as fast as u can pls
cause i have to give order of my pc in 1-2 days

REad the manual.
TRy the comp without volcano fan AT YOUR OWN RISK.If everything is ok,then it is fine (tiwthout oc that is) you should be able to do some oc even at default fans though

yeah using non stock HSF would void ur warranty if they knew !
tho its highly unlikely ur proccy get spoiled by the new HSF since they are improvements ... but thats what amd says

If you want to buy other fan Just Buy AMD approved one.There are many . Just log on to AMD .com for the list but they may be a bit costly.

no volacno's man go 4 Thermaltake or Zalman coolers they may b a little costlier than ur VOLCANO but they wud bring temperature down by about 5 - 10 C. what the hell else do u want. reason is clear as they Copper heatsinks and 5500rpm fans where as stock cooling has a aliminium heatsink and a fan that can maximum rotate at 3500rpm

Please HELP where do you get this stuff (Thermaltake or Zalman coolers Artic silver)? Any where in Bangalore. Please Help ....
