The 2008 FIA Formula One World Championship will kick off the first season for the newly formed Force India Formula One team.

Dr. Vijay Mallya together with the Mol family has established a joint-venture company called Orange India Holdings (OIH). OIH acquired Spyker Cars N.V formerly Midland F1 Racing and before that Jordan Grand Prix in Ocober 2007. Post approval of the FIA, the team has now been renamed as the Force India Formula One team

Force India Formula One team is a representation of the new young fast paced global Indians and F1 fans from across the world.

The team’s journey will start with the 2008 season, at the Melbourne Grand Prix when the team’s newly designed livery, will be launched on track for the first time.

F1 is already a hit in India, we need a local race.
