Internet Problem

hello friends,

Whenever I try to connect internet via airtel mobile office I get this. sent = 2835 bytes and recieved = 198 bytes.And sent bytes go on increasing but recieved bytes remains same. In this condition Internet website don't open. What's the problem? I'm totally fed up with this. It's happening in 70 % cases whenever I try to connect internet. The network signal is full in my mobile. I m still learning in the computer field. Plz solve my Querry. Thanx

Are you having any firewall installed?

are you connecting internet to your PC from mobile with your service provider airtel, if so once verify any security patches,or some firewalls are slowing your connection as asnvin said,also try to optimize your TCP using different internet optimize softwares like Tune-up,also once contact your mobile vendoe because you are not even recieving 1/4th of packets

Thank u for ur replies. I think that I've installed firewall. But I told u earlier that I don't have much knowledge in this field, I m just a beginner. Plz tell in details what to do next ?. thanx once again.

Please tell the name of firewall

It's Windows XP(sp2) Firewall. Plz give the perfect solution. I hardly connect to internet. I have tried switching off firewall but it still sucks!!! I m using turbo internet booster also for tuning up internet connection.
