Guys I've got one amd system running on asus board...I've 1 simple question..
If i change my processor to a new one which my motherboard supports...do i have to reinstall xp?..I know u have to install if u r changing the motherboard...does the same applies to processor?...

As far I know....changing processor don't need re-install. U start using your windows XP..if it don't work properly.....than U have to reinstall it.

99% it should work.

It should work.... but i think Windows XP may ask you to re-activate the product again !!! :(

so if i hav softwares ruuning with activation codes..like installed with system id etc...i have to again enter new system id's?...

and if every thing goes correct after ur MOBO and Os detect's the new hardware
u cud run Ur Os perfectly as it was. ;)
