Guys i want to install linux again in my system....

Please tell me which is better to install...

how is ubuntu ultimate 1.5 or 1.6 edition as it has many packages preinstalled...

Ubuntu Ultimate is filled with one too many software by default. If you have a decent internet connection, I'd suggest getting the normal Ubuntu release or perhaps a Mint one, and install only what you want.

But that's just my idea. I prefer to run only what I need, the trial days are over for me.

Ubuntu Gutsy from Ubuntu is better,after installing plugins.also bug-free. :)

QwertyManiac is right. But if you do not have a broadband connection, plain Ubuntu is better. If you want something better, multimedia ready, then Linuxmint 4.0

GET FEDORA 8.

I have not installed it but it has a lot of improvements over FEDORA 7.
