Is usb drive gone

hi guys,
i borrowed 40 gb usb hard drive from my friend yesterday.. it was working fine
at my friends hoese and also at my house too
but today i used it on my other friends pc it worked there too ...but now i'm not able to use my drive on my pc......
when i put it in windows it says Usb devise not recognized.....
and also its not working in my ubuntu....

please suggest me what to do...

Try installing the drive again.

Reboot the PC try again :P some time Windows power down the USB ports to save power :P so it causes issues :P simply reboot and try again :D

Its not working at all today i tried in my all college pc's but its not working...
i tried it in even in Ubuntu ..


is it becuase off ne virus????
