I'm facing a really weird and unusual problem with my hard drives. My PC consists of two Seagate SATA HDDs,one of which has a capacity of 80GB and whereas the other is a 320 GB drive.A couple of days ago,the older 80GB HDD started emitting a strange "screeching" noise after which it stopped functioning completely.Though the partitions in that drive showed up under my computer,i couldn't access any of them and attempting to copy some data onto those partitions resulted in a "write error".Also my computer operated painfully slowly for as long as the 80GB drive was connected to it.After i disconnected this faulty drive, things went back to normal. So I've sent it for a replacement as the drive is still under warranty. So far, things have been going on normally.

But strangely enough, today when i switched my computer on,i found,to my great dismay and astonishment that the newer 320 GIG HDD was emitting a similar screeching sound and my computer refused to boot. After a couple of resets, the screeching sound disappeared and my PC booted into Win XP perfectly well.I'm totally perplexed about this issue. Is my 320 GB drive about to fail too?How can two HDDs fail one after another in quick succession?Whats wrong with my computer? Please help.I'm on the verge of losing my sanity!

(my system's specs are: Pentium d 2.66ghz,945gnt mobo,2 gigs of ram,8600GT 256mb.FYI i'm using a generic 400 W iball PSU;it doesn't feature any SATA power connectors,so I'm using a molex to sata converter to connect my HDDs to the PSU)
