problem installing sun java plugin in firefox

I have installed sun java plugin 1.6.0_03 and also created a link in /usr/lib/firefox/plugins
When i type about: plugins in firefox it shows that the plugin is installed and all components are active.
But when i try to access a java enabled site or even verify at sun java website the page won't load the java content:mad:
i hv installed ubuntu 7.10
Please help!!!!

Clicking this (sun-java6-plugin) or giving sudo apt-get install sun-java6-plugin doesn't do the job for you?
