I just bought Norton Ghost 12.. Is this program really as bad as it seems?

I tried to make an image on a USB drive and received error messages that seem impossible to decode. Going the web site I find their web site does not work in Firefox.. huh? So I cannot partake in the "on-line" chat support. And on the error page for Ghost12 it lists all the common errors for Ghost 10. Please see attached file. huh?

Seems my error has something to do with an encrypted file or folder on my computer..

1. I am pretty sure I have no such file.. Not intentionally anyway, and even if I did why does Ghost not tell me where it is.. It knows, as it found it, so why not tell me where. In anycase, why simply stop the back-up? Surely the program could continue with the rest of the disc?

2. Even if I do have such a file or folder why will not back it up? I want an image of my HD.. so why stop when it finds an encrypted file?

They say I can email for tech support and then provide no email address for this. huh? They want me to pay $10 for a phone call. Presumably they will then tell me the email address for free tech support..

This is really really screwed up..!

I am sorry, but this company is all marketing and no content. Their stuff usually does not work and is full of errors.

I used earlier Norton products (10 years ago) and they were usually ok. The last years has been nothing but crap. It takes hours to even delete their programs from your hard disk.. why should this be?

I am very curious if anyone has had similar problems. Or if anyone is able to use this product. Maybe we should start a voting session?

Best regards,
Thomas
