Installed it.

Installation was a breeze. Barely took 20 mins to finish everything.

Partitioner was one of THE BEST I ever worked with.

Nice GUI. Good all round packages. Also detected all the hardware except a minor glitch in GFX card.

Thing is it detects my Card as 8800 GT when its actually 8600 GT [I wish it was 8800 :D] and MCC its says that my card doesnt support 3D  .

8600 or 8800 they all support 3D eh? On 2D and all applications run like charm. Monitor also running at Max res possible [1024 X 768] @ 24 Bit so that part is all fine.

So what should I do to enable 3D effects. [Cant wait to enable them and Start using Compiz as I never used it before and excited about it]

Install the nvidia-glx packages? Never used Mandriva so can't point on how/where/why.

The installation is out of the box. No new packages added other from the FREE DVD. [I am not using Powerpack]

Hmm, does cat /etc/X11/xorg.conf show the Driver in use (Under Device Section) as nvidia?

Post it here.
