Audio Video Sync Problem...

HI guys!

I use Auto Gordian Knot to convert my MPEG2 videos to XVID format. The problem is that where most of the videos are properly encoded, a few of them have audio video sync problem. Why does this happen and what can be done so that this doesnt happen.

The settings that I use are as follows...

Output Resolution : Auto Width
Output Audio Type : CBR MP3 128 Kbps
Output size : Approximately 10-12 MB per minute of video.

for correcting it open the clip in virtual dub.set both audio and video direct stream copy
A) If the difference between audio and video is constant throughout the video:
*From the "Audio" dropdown menu, select "Interleaving" * Under "Audio skew correction", set an appropriate number of milliseconds (positive or negative) in the box labelled "Delay
audio track by"
* Save with a new filename
B) If the difference increases as the movie plays:
* From under the "Video" dropdown menu, select "Framerate" - and select "Change so video and audio durations match"
* Save with a new filename


async occurs due to some delay prblm assosiated when converting ac3 to mp3.if u open it in dgindex u can see the assosiated delay
