CRYSIS Demo is playable on Intel Onboard X3000 [G965 MB]

Today I downloaded CRYSIS demo and it is playable at 800x600 at low settings,,
BUT some particles graphics are corrupted and the some objects are rendred late and also some parts of the weapons and nano suit are missing,, but frame rate is playable [ocassionally it drops very low],,,

i am sure future drivers can fix this problem,,**FARCRY was also having same problem and with new drivers it played very smooth**

and also i am having only 1GB DDR2 533 ram and on Tuesday i am getting 1GB DDR2 667 Ram 2 sticks i will connect it in dual channel mode and see the difference,,

I am really surpriced that i was able to play the game bcoz the EA perticularly listed as integrated chipsets are not supported:rolleyes::rolleyes:

if i press detect optimum settings all settings will b set to medium and resolution to 1024

I am running it on XP 32 bit
I am having 64 bit Vista and try to run the game on that bcoz crysis performance increases on 64 bit OS

^^^ 8800 GT 512 MB (G92) according to reviwers is able to play this game @ highest settings with no visually noticable FSP glitches......... :))

it has just launched but read a review done on 23rd Oct...

its way better than 8800 GTS 640 :-P nad possibly cheaper

There is no lowest setting available and also no 640

I dont know abt others but 12 FPS is playable to some extent it doesnot look like slide show bcoz i have completed the demo [and also i get almost same FPS in 1024x768 resolution @ low settings:confused:]

the results are with my new 2 gb ddr2 677 in dual channel

BTW in 64 bit VISTA I got poor performance the FPS remained same but game freezes and sometimes restarts

the the games graphics are corrupted the nano suit and guns textures are lost or rendered incorrectly and while playing the whole game the extra hand is rendered at the top of the screen :confused::confused:

My guess is it will b fixed in future driver update


BTW here are the screenshots from my sytem at 800x600 at low settings off the course the some textures are rendered incorrectly

Low Fps is also due to my procy i think
Because crysis minimum requirement says core2duo 2.0 and mine is only core2duo 1.8:confused::confused:

8600 GT will play crysis at high settings but not everything turned on and not at high resolutions it will good at 1024x768

Not sure abt 6150 and i am certainly intrested in knowing how it performs

^^I have XFX 8600GT SLI and the demo does not perform well with everything set to high except Volumetric Clouds(medium).19-27 FPS average.
My 3D mark score is 8198 and I have the second highest score with this config compared to other similar configs on 3D mark official site.

^^Most games are more than playable at 720p with 2xAA and 8xAF.I haven't tested 3DMark in vista x64.I have Dual Boot config for Xp(x86) and vista(x64).The Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare Demo Runs faster in vista x64 than in Xp x86.
If ur thinking of buying a GFX card go for 8800GTS 320MB.I just bought this system to boast SLI :D .I am going to buy another 8800GTS 640MB in the next 1 and a half months and will set it for SLI with my brother's config.Currently i am looking to buy two similar VGA coolers for my Dual 8600GT and will try to Set to 700Mhz and get over 9000 in 3D Mark06 in XP.

^^hold on, isnt the G92 based 8800GTS coming soon? It is supposed to have 128 shaders....similar to the G80 8800GTX. u can get that instead

& the 8800GTS 320 mb? isnt it replaced by the 8800GT

^^I thought the G92 based 8800GTS was going to have 112SPs as confirmed by BFG.
8800GTS 320MB will cost him less than 8800GT 512 MB.And going for the 256MB version of 8800GT is not an option.

Edit : Just found its going to be 128SPs.
