well actually it should have been how to determine memory speed of GFX card..:D

i actually wanted to know exzactly what frequency RAM chips were used to make my card...

its an FX 5200, 128 MB with HYNIX chips......

that was to know the safe limit upto which i can OC the.ram in the gfx:wink:

can anyone tell me how to decifer the wierd numbers written on the chips used to make my Graphics card's RAM?

bump!..

^^^ dude, i dont wanna know HOW to OVERCLOCK...

i very well know how to overclock...

i just wanted to know how to determine the access time and Memory speed of my card...

Anyways My card has

HY5DY281622AT-5 memory...

AFAIK the 5 in the end corresponds to 5 ns access time but i dont know the mem speed for which the chip is designed...

anyways i guess it is out of scope of discussion here....... not meaning bad to anyone.... will try out @guru3d.. or somewhere...

Use Powerstrip for determining the clock speeds.
