Azureus or KTorrent

Azureus needs JRE (and it takes up some extra resources). So go for KTorrent.

Or you could always use Wine + µTorrent. µTorrent themselves support running it on Wine.

wine utorrent.exe

port forwarding?in bridge mode, jus open a random port(like 50471) via iptables frontend's like lokkit, firestarter or for kde-guarddog etc),enter openport no. into ur torrent client tcp port option.that's it!.
afair, port forwarding is have to do with router used as pppoe dialer.then u have to enable virtual server and few other configurations too in router.
http://portforward.com helps
BTW,I get decent speed in deluge aswellas azureus in bridge mode with dataone h500.torrents-nighttime d/l speed reaches 207KB/s(till last may it was 217KB/s  ) while i upload at 20KB/S :D :))
