Unreal Tournament Again !

I downloaded all the required patches of UT (the first version and not to be confused with UT2003/2004) !

It is running merrily on WinXP + SP2

But there is still a question !!!!!

I downloaded a Bonus pack which contained only a single file
" UTBonusPack.umod "

Where should I place the file so that I can have the Bonus Pack running in the game ?
BTW, What will the Bonus Pack Offer Me ?

Try this Tips to Install the Mod from DetroitLPB forum:
1. Go into Windows Explorer
2. Click View
3. Click Folder Options
4. Click File Types
5. Scroll down the file list and Click on UMOD file
6. Click the Edit button
7. Click the Edit button located under the Actions text box
8. In the box labeled 'Application used to perform action' enter: X:\UnrealTournament\System\Setup.exe install "%1"
(note: X is whatever drive letter you used and the path that you installed unreal tournament to may differ from has been mentioned here, but the point is that you're associating the file with the Unreal Tournament setup.exe file with the switch have been listed here.)
9. Click OK
10. Click Close
Now when you double click on the UTBonusPack UMOD it should start the installation routine for it.

For those of you that don't already have the file type in your list of file types: Open Windows Explorer

3. Click Folder Options
4. Click File Types
5. Click New Type
6. For Description of type enter UMOD File
7. For associated extension enter UMOD
8. Click the New button under the Actions text box
9. When the New Action box appears, enter open in the box label Action
10. In the box labeled Application used to perform action, enter: d:\UnrealTournament\System\Setup.exe install "%1"
11. Click OK
NOTE: Again, the path entered above may not be the same as yours, so make the adjustment.


Also try this
To install the Bonus Pack, just double click the .umod file and it should begin installing. If you are having trouble, extract the ZIP file to a temporary folder such as C:\Temp, and then use Start | Run to run the following command: C:\UnrealTournament\System\Setup.exe install C:\temp\UTBonusPack.umod
Keep in mind that the path given above may differ from your own depending on where you've installed Unreal Tournament.

The Bonus Pack contains new models, skins, maps, relics:

The models, skins and voices can be changed from the options | player setup window
The maps can be added to the map cycle list thru the Remote Admin Website under Defaults | Map List | choose Bonus
The relics are mutators and can be added from the Remote Admin Website Current | Mutators | Mutators Used

Even then I carried out the steps and got this error

ERROR:
Can't find module C:\Program

UMOD is a s/w made exclusively for UT mods!
u can download it online!
dont know which site though(that was a long time ago !) :lol:

GOT THE SOLUTION !!!

Navigate to the System folder in the installation ditectory of UT

Open up a notepad and type the following

setup.exe install UTBonusPack.umod

replace UTBonusPack by the name of your Bonus Pack.
Save the file in the System directory with a .BAT extension.

Execute the file !

INSTALLATION screen will greet u !!!

HAPPY INSTALLING THE MODS !!!

thats still too much trouble to open each and every mod you download

goto :http://wiki.beyondunreal.com/wiki/UMod_Browser for the UMOD Browser, so you can easily install any mod for UT

This happen sometimes when the game was installed through another OS or if the OS has been reinstalled
U just reinstall the game over the previous nf it wont delete Ur saved games.nd do remember to intall all the patches again
