Your days of buying a bagful of accessories (http://gizmodo.com/gadgets/accessories/) every time you switch phones have come to an end. Well, not quite. You will still have to toss out all your mini USB (http://gizmodo.com/gadgets/mini-usb/) chargers, as this decision in truth indicates a rejection of that budding de facto standard. Yep, all the carriers and accessories makers will have one last chance to profit before the standard is in place.

Good move, now if only they could provide an option that we can charge using this Mini-USB connector by also connecting to PC like Apple lets us charge iPod. Just that no propriety connector.

@GX, Sony Ericsson phones likes K300i can be charged through USB ports. This is really nice for people who use GPRS for net on PC.

BTW, great move.

Every1 forgot a thin. How clean our side tables would be. Just a single charger hanging for the whole family/group (hostelites) :D
