Hi Guys,

Windows XP Home Edition. I have got SAMSUNG DVD-ROM. When I put DVD Rom or CD Rom, it takes a very lot of time to open. Any way of opening fastly?
I have got my original version of Windows XP Home Edition. Eager to get the corrupted or missing operating files runing the CD without any damage to my system. Is it possible?

Samsung? Must be dying already ;)

Check if DMA is enabled or not for your drive however, before chucking it out and onto your loud neighbour's head. ( i.e. Only if all CDs/DVDs read slow, don't make a repeat of this (http://bash.org/?416857) )
