GIMP 2 help! ! !

Hi! Guys, I just wanted to say that GIMP is very confusing.. When I heard it is like Photoshop and it is free, I installed it but I cannot follow head or tail of it.. Are there some good tutorials which teach the basics of GIMP or should I go back to Photoshop ? ? ? ?

:) Enjoy. DON'T go back to photoshop. I know it must be really tempting to back to the more familiar environment, but give GIMP a chance :)
