Hey, i have a Samsung 18x DVD Writer, n hell, it takes around and hour to burn a 16x DVD. wot am i supposed to do? plz help me folks!!

dats probably bcos u runnin in PIO mode

change it 2 UDMA hopefully ur problem wil b sorted

well, it luks greek n latin 2 me, how do i change it to UDMA mode?

first of all
In Nero, do u keep the option "cache files smaller than 64K" checked?
It shpuld be checked.
It prevents larger files copied to C drive ,or nero temp dir, b4 burning.
try this.

d00d ur tut is gud :) but i wud suggest apacheman to change his drive to UDMA mode like this

u may also wan 2 check ur BIOS settings to c if UDMA mode is enabled from there, because if it is disabled der den nothin will work

first check ur BIOS and den follow d procedure given in d link above

by de way, i've checked my secondary IDE drive, in te transfer mode tab, it says DMA if available for both Device 0 n Device 1, and Ultra DMA Mode 5 for current transfer for Device 0.
WHAT am i supposed to do?
plz help me out guyz...

i suggest u take ur drive to a friends place (who is facin no comp problems ;)) and get try buning sum disks der b4 drawing a conlcusion

well if UDMA was disabled den u wud have faced similar problems ;)

but it seems dat it is not d case

but tell me 1 thin', wot was de prob?

it basically automate d procedure dat i was askin u to do manually

ur drive was workin in PIO mode when it is capable of workin in UDMA mode
so all it did was to re-eanble UDMA mode without u havin to enter Device Manager
