Yeah...you can put ads on Blogspot but not on wordpress.

if you think you will blog for years you will definately understand i can't tell you all the benefits of wordpress here

perfect.. ull understand the pain only when u are well into it.. we advise u shift to Wordpress ..the flexibility is uncomparable.

BTW Blogger does have labels which are equivalent to categories in Wordpress.com And you cannot put adsense or such ads in Wordpress. Though you can sell your own text links or small banners in sidebar if you can reach advertisers directly.

Blogger is a nice platform to start with but not worth while hosting on your own.

Anyway, a good member's blog is good too, as is yours ;)

And when it comes to free bloghosting services, blogger is the best.

I think blogger is a nice platform. I've read the blogger vs wordpress article, and I don't find any argument convincing enough for me to shift to wordpress. Blogger allows direct access to the template. I think that's the biggest plus point for blogger. The possibilities are endless.

One more advantage of using blogger is you get indexed by google very soon. My post becomes available on google within 6 hours of posting.

Heh, I got to laugh at that, WordPress is far far ahead of Blogger at least. Right up from default templates, dashboard features, customization, extendability and stability/security. Blogger customizations are way far tedious than WordPress, probably the reason not many Blogger blogs appear glossy and neat to the eye.

And @blackpearl - That's not the case, Indexing happens as per the PR and site importance/priorities. Its not biased ;)
