My PC Specifications are
LG FLATRON E700SH
Intel Desktop Board D865GVHZ
2 x 512 MB RAM
Lite-ON DVD RW SHW-1635S
Segate SATA 250 GB Hard Disk
I have connected my PC to Proview's 600VA UPS.
But when Lights are gone, my PC gets turned off directly in a sec. then tries to turns on again automatically, but the UPS does not get the load of my PC and starts beeping faster immediately.
Also, If I start my whole PC and select "Degauss" the whole Power supply from the UPS is cut off & the UPS makes a large beep. I even charge the ups fully.
I've even tried Proview's 700 VA UPS but it does not work.
What should I do? Should I change the UPS or the Monitor???

Change the UPS brand,go for APC or power safe.

probably the battery in the UPS is faulty.........
one other problem might be that the response time of the UPS might be higher....but 99.9 percent chance that this one is not the problem.....
if u think the monitor is creating problem then remove the monitor cable from the UPS and see...

Maine Monitor ka aachar daal ke dekha.
I connected only the Cabinet then turned on the UPS, quickly started pressing the delete button, so that windows does not start.
After turning off the main Power Supply, PC did not get turned off and the beeps of the UPS were not much faster as before.
I don't think there is any problem with my battery, only the monitor is heavy.
So, now if I want to change the monitor, should I go for the LCDs???8)
Tell me some models, please.
I want to make sure that, now if I change the monitor, there should not be any problem.

I strongly agree with him. If the monitor is a TFT then it may work, but not a 19" CRT !!! :o

I too faced the same problem. So I got myself an 800VA double battery Microtek UPS. No problems now.

i m not d only 1 who knows dat APC 500VA supports 19"CRT
Why I purchased it
This unit was purchased to replace my APC Back-UPS 200, only because I needed more voltage for a Pentium IV computer and 19-inch monitor. The reason I purchased APC again is because I’ve been very pleased with their other products. APC has become the industry standard in uninterruptible power supplies (UPS). I’ve worked with several state-of-the-art computer facilities that use nothing but APC and they report only minimal problems with their units. Although I primarily purchased this unit for major surge protection and backup power, I also purchased it because I’m concerned about the frequent minor power spikes and sags that can damage electronics over time. This unit absorbs these spikes (and other line noise) and keeps the power level up where it should be.

d00d wen d POWER RATIN has been mentioned den price has got nothin....i repeat....absolutely nothin 2 do with d max O/P power
u may buy a 1000$ 500VA UPS or a 60$ 500VA UPS
both will give u a maximum O/P power of 500 Watts
just bcos u shelled out 1000$ 4 d 500VA UPS does not mean dat it will support a datacenter
d only difference between d two, besides features, is d quality of sine wave
if APC brings out 2 models of 500VA and prices it differently, it is only bcos d more exp 1 has better features and NOT HIGHER POWER RATING
nad since both d models r fom APC, dey both gonna have d same sine wave pattern
TIME 2 CHANGE UR BED-TIME NANNY D00D:D :D

the latter will be online UPS. They costa more
My Hykon 600VA cannot bear 17" flat CRT [power consumption is bout 80w~90w].
A 19" flat CRT wun consume as much as 110~120w. For an 500VA UPS to take that load, the system load shud be very low, that is no gcard, 1 HD, 1 CD, etc.

along with 19"CRT,
it can take d required load with a GPU also
as 4 ur 600VA not supportin a 17" CRT, monitor der must b sumthin wron with ur UPS
maybe d true power rating was not revealed by d Co
bcos a 17" CRT is veri much supported by a 600VA UPS [provided d ratings r authentic]

I suggest you to get an 800VA normal or online UPS. In that case there wud be no problem even if u add a G card, HDD, optical drive, printer, or speakers.
There wud be problem with an 500VA at powercuts only at times of load like gaming:D
or some animation worx:mad:

I have APC 650 VA and APC is one of the best in maintaining constant current and voltage. And please check the rig it supports(my sig)

@Harvik780
Yes, APC is surely a gud brand. But yours is a 650VA version and uve got 19" wide LCD which goes max upto 33w but a 19" flat CRT cud go upto 120w.
C2D, DDR2, etc consumes far less power than P4,DDR.
And what if he buy an 500VA one any it cudn't support the load??
So he should get at least an APC 650VA or better orelse he'wd have to change his monitor also and the total cost wud be a bomb.
