hey guyz i am using a p4 2.8 ghz , 512 ram wid win xp sp 2 . i use a reliance fwp for connecting to the net . i was fiddling around wid the services n registry tweaks using REGSEEKER and now i am facing a problem. whenever i connect to the internet my pc stops responding for a few minutes. it doesnt hang though , it just gets stuck and i am not able to launch any programs meanwhile and even explorer doesnt open. after around 2 mins it becomes normal and things work perfectly, all the things i clicked on before it got stuck open up at once after 2 mins. somebody help me with this . i have tried everything including restoring my registry and also reinstalling my reliance phone, etc but it still doesnt work. plz help.

Ooops... try stopping all the unnecessary processes using task manager. or try using a spyware removal tool. or try connecting the reliance phone to a different com port. ( i really dont know what went wrong... do any one have an idea??)

Thats strange man.
But I think I know the answer.
It might be because of the slow initial connection speed. It happens sometimes that the connection speed decreases & the byte transfer rate dastically reduces. So the net becomes tremendously slow resulting in those problems.
However it may also be due to some Spyware.
It should not be a registry problem as u said that restoring ur reg. did not work.

if you're sure that you have f*cked up the registry then use system restore and roll back to a prior date.

I am not having any spyware installed. I am using MS Antispyware and kaspersky anti virus n firewall . and no the net is also not slow i get good speeds. and the most unfortunate part is i had disabled system restore. it is just dat my comp seems to be out of ram or something and it happens only when i get online. got any more suggestions ?
