Intel recently increased the number of 45nm-based CPUs it plans to launch for desktop PCs to nine, according to sources at motherboard makers.
Within the nine CPUs, five will be dual-core processors (Wolfdale) and the remaining four will be quad-core (Yorkfield). All will adopt a 1333MHz FSB. Model numbers for the upcoming products are still undecided, noted the sources.....

these devils will be released in Q42007 probably (by Xmas).....:D

great news music to my ears.......but what about laptop procys ??

it also means prices of E6750 and E6850 to fall !! right ??

ow!! great.. but i dont think that any of them ll be budget proccys..
as they start at 2.66ghz and all of them have 3mb l2 cache per core :shock:

i'll still go for 45nm procc. since they''l be here for some time coz i think 25 or 30nm isn't going to come soon

prices for penryn is all now in the hands of AMD and their new procys !

as Q6600 is only 12k....at least 2.33Ghz 6MB L2 quad will have to be at the same price or lower...
