Internet and friends..

guys i hav an internet connection...
and hav a lot of frnds without internet conection..
they usually come to my house to check mails, scrapbooks etc..
they come everyday and sit for arnd 1-2 hours.. so they disturb me..
and i dont want them to come at my house everyday..
but i cant say straight to them as they r my frnds..
Is there any somftware by which i can block the network options so that it sud give an error when we try to connect..???
I m using broadband..

Tell them that your internet connection is CUT and if they say anything , Say i will tell to Veeroo DADA

Tell them u have a limited bandwidth connection. Ask them to pay you, from next day they won't come.

I also have a friend of mine who used to come sometimes for net.
I told him politely that it's irritating me & also burning hole in pocket.
Voila! from next day he started visiting Cyber for his work.
You just have to be polite & frank.Your friends should understand .

Use ZoneAlarm Firewall. It has a function to stop all Internet activities AT ONE CLICK.

So, whenever ur friends come to ur home, just stop all Internet activities, :D

i think telling friends for not to use internet may break f`rdship... :( and they r also smart as we....
so it is better to move some file of broswer or router or modem by which ur friend cant do internet... and if u want to do net, just move file to original place..... see which files r essential or not as i dont have much info abt it...:D

If you are on BSNL broadband, you can go the router settings page and with one click disconnect the connection. Once you do that, the 'light' on the page will be red. So, try what you may, it won't download webpages. You can also try the method of blocking the net through ZA firewall like Shirish told.

yes i have the solution , I did too, I told my friends that I have combo connection ( phone and internet ) and taken night unlimited plan . so family uses the free benefits ( amount of money isp gives u as free usage ). so I can not use internet in day, and I use internet at night between 9 pm to 6 am . ........................ and I told this to my friends as this is only the truth........u can also tell this to ur friend as a lie to be saved from deneying them

so no problem, I guess they can not come so late to someone's house .

Er, this is actually an issue? Lol, tell them to take a hike! They'll understand. If they don't, and don't want to talk with you or something because your not letting them use your net connection all day, then you seriously need to reconsider the sort of "friends" they are.

say that you have complained to bsnl but no avail. also say that it only connects in nights after 2 am becasue of server error.

else say that your dad has restricted your net access & changed the pass so you can't connect

that pretty much solves the problem...if u hav got frens like that then its better off without frens and get hold of ur twitchy friend making attitude...i hate buggers:D

yeah the second solution obviously is to tell ur frens frankly and if they understand u then viola u hav some really good frens else u will get the real picture of ur fren circle.
