I hate Microsoft. Just because of them DX10 will be outdated within half a year of its launch.
And even nvidia sucks, for they will launch DX10.1 gfx card in nov/dec. The world's fastest GPU will be outdated in one flat year.

But one cant live without either of them :(

Technolog has to be developed continuously. If a product is not launcehed on time, people start cribbing. Same if a product is planned to launch early.

There is no proposed feature/quality change in DirectX 10.1. XAudio is already there in DirectX 10 just not in Vista's version. Remember both Vista & XBOX 360 use DirectX 10.

The only known change that DirectX 10.1 brings is XAudio2 on Windows Vista which can be used on any Intel HD Audio platform, & more efficiency.

None of the graphics card available right now will be outdated.
