The company name, SAP, is an acronym for Systems, Applications and Products in Data Processing.

SAP R/3 is a vast suite of software that helps business managers implement ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) which is a business management system that integrates all facets of the business, including planning, manufacturing, sales, and marketing.
