StarOffice without support is called OpenOffice.Org. Correct me if I am wrong, but both are same. One comes with package and support, other comes without these.

StarOffice without support is called OpenOffice.Org.

Well not correct technically..

StarOffice[TM] is very similar to OpenOffice.org as both programs share the same development source code base. One of the primary differences is that Sun implements third party technologies that meet the needs of their product strategy into StarOffice[TM]. OpenOffice.org does not package these third party technologies as it is free open source software and no such commercial licensing is attached.

Another difference between the two applications is that StarOffice[TM] passes a thorough their own quality assurance test, while OpenOffice.org goes through a community-based quality assurance project for testing.

Below is a list of some of the features that OpenOffice.org is missing compared to StarOffice[TM]:

- No printed User's Guide
- Less help documentation
- Fewer templates, clipart and sample documents
- Different spell checker
- Less import file filters
- Less font selections
- No database packaged with the software
- Fewer formal support offerings
- No Configuration Manager
