View Full Version : OS INSTALLATION problem....

I bought a new 80gb seagate hdisk..partitioned successfly...tried to install XP service pack 2(of course pirated)...after formattin,copyin list of files successfully done..after restartin instead of installation i got a blue screen with
"A RECENT HARDWARE/SOFTWARE PROBLEM OCCURED...and list of options such as SAFE MODE so n so..but nothing worked..sytem automatically getting restarted..
I EVEN TRIED WITH SOME OTHER XP SERVICE PACK2 CDs...am gettin the same error msg...

Only 1 Solution , Go For Genuine Windows ! thats all .... !

Press F8 when the system boots
and from the Windows Boot Menu choose the option that says "Disable automatic restart .....", and proceed to boot. Now when your system crashes you will get a blue screen of death. Here note the error message and the error code and look it up in google or microsoft knowledge base.
Most likely that you need to change your data cable also.
Only 1 Solution , Go For Genuine Windows ! thats all .... !
This happens with Genuine Windows also !

i did got the promlem solved...just my changing the data cable.. thanks guys..
as far as geniune windows is concerned..i wish i could..
but i cant afford.. to pay for that.

congrates..ur problem is solved.The main cause of such problem is either BAD hard disk or BAD data cable.
And for genuine...why dont you buy starter edition of win XP.They are very cheap.
