Hi friends. I've M2000 compaq presario notebook. Today for 1st time I tried to burn some data and songs I've in my hard disk since it's almost full. But I couldn't. I used nero 7 ultra and it is just making image and nothing is happening to dvd. I checked nero info and here is what it showed -

does this means my laptop don't have burning dvd feature? If yes how much rs. it'll cost to upgrade my cd/dvd rom so that it can burn dvd also.

Please help in these 2 issue i.e. is my notebook ok to burn dvd and if not how much I need to pay for upgrading it?

Regards.

a sony/liteon laptop dvd rw will cost you about 5.5k. u may opt for an exchange if the dealer permits.

Thanks guys. After reading reply I contacted my vendor. He told me same. That is I've a rom that can burn cd only and upgrading will cost 5.5K. Tho he told external drive will cost 1250 for LG and it's casing about 700-800.

Will go again tomorrow and buy that external one.

Once again, thanks so much. :)
