Reports from Taiwan suggest that Apple may launch next month a new iPod that looks, feels and works like an iPhone, but without the phone part.

DigiTimes, a Taiwan-based publication that often leaks details about local companies that make electronic components for companies worldwide, says Taiwan-based Wintek has won a large touchscreen display contract for Apple's next media player.

^^actually its rumor that has been around before the iphone was announced .. the 6th gen ipod is said to have an interface very similar to the ipone

hey lemme clarufy ur words...first of all it not 6G but only 3G....
the latest in the telecom is that it has iPhone has been acquired by the AT&T for next 2 years...i know that this news may be a pretty old one for u techies but still to update u ppl.......for the next 2 years no other company can provide this service around the globe other than the AT&T....and AT&T has recently acquired the Bellsouth and cingular of the US south-east.....

the drawbacks of this iPhone is that its battery is been souldered into the phone itself that makes it undetachabla and if anything goed wrong with the battery then whole has to be deposited for the repair that make the user limp and dead...

hey lemme clarufy ur words...first of all it not 6G but only 3G....

3G is a technology behind internet & data on Phone.

Thats just one of the 10001 flaws iPhone has :D, but just look at the UI, it looks so Cool :D

there is such thing as 3.5G in the nokia n95 and 6110 navigator!

i don't seem to find the iphone useful!

nokia n95 3G is useless for US 3G networks :( ... so 3.5G is further useless !!!!
