Hello guys! I have used GD (Google Desktop) linux version and found some kinda bug or fault whatever you say. Don't expect this bug for all linux users as this bug may be for FC-6 only. The bug is that while shutting down, linux gives u a lot of errors instead of the standard shutdown. Shutdown occurs; but improper. I removed GD and found that the problem vanished.

My Kernel: 2.6.20-1.2962

OS: FC-6

PC: P3 500 Mhz; 384 RAM; 44.5 GB HDD (total after partitioning)

Have you found some such bug?

neither wud i care installing google desktop rather @unknown try getting beagle search hmm..

Yups , you can easily install beagle in ubuntu from synaptic , why use GD :)

beagle is a big resource hog too. not a nice idea for someone who's running a P3. And there are some nasty problems with it in certain setups.

^ i completely agree infact beagled-that is ;) it uses mono too right?

I have beagle and it works very well. Mine is not so old that even beagle will not be supported. I like GD therefore i installed it. When i was using win, i wud always have an installed GD. I was waiting for this linux version.
