Please help me with this prob.
I own a pc with dial up.
My bill goes to 3k per month.
I need an unlimited net connection.
Speed does'nt matters.
Just for extreme budjet.
The cheapest of them all.
This incudes phone purchase connection probs etc....
Budjet is THE CHEAPEST .
Thankyou

dude tell from which city or town or village you are from !!!!

according to me for a person in india this is best

get BSNL post paid....for which u have 200 RS Per month unlimited GPRS
get an EDGE enabled Phone and use it as modem !! this is the cheapest it can get 200 Rs Per Month ( GPRS )+ 150 rental + BSNL Cellphone Usage Charges ( making calls + SMS etc etc )

hey my dad has bsnl post paid...and he says that u need to pay 150 RS rental
so 200 + 150 = 350+ 12% tax that's all which is around 400 Rs

now if u make calls and SMS...then u will be paying for every call and SMS
dont know about speed........but its certainly faster than Dail Up !

Airtel has an UL plan for its GPRS?

I am using Airtel MO, it costs me 360/month, and speed is very low. Sometimes they have server problem. This connection is ok for checking mails and some browsing. Not Ok for downloading songs etc..

airtel mo will allow you to to browse net on the move. And with the nokia oss browser you do not even need a machine. I get 40 kbps on my machine with cable connectivity. Else at home i prefer dsl coz of low latency ... under both cases your bill would be much lower than your current phone bill.

I have been looking all of your replies. I couldn’t find any suitable. So I had my own research!
I’m from a rural non-remote area where all the big and small communication companies are present.
It’s a small town well known for its chikun guniya attack.
After my short research, I found most suitable ones.
Airtel Plan:
Buy Nokia 6020 4.2 k
Take an Airtel connection .5k
Pay annual rent + GPRS charge 3k
Cable for 6020 .5k
Grand total 8.2k or 8200/- Rs.
BSNL Plan:
BSNL cdma 2000 blah blah blah! 4.3k
Pcmia blah To USB converter 1k
1 year rent 2.5k
Grand Total of 5.8k or 5800/- Rs
Therefore I’ve decided to go for BSNL.
Here Reliance, Tata Indicom and Airtel are the worst performers.
The reason for that is here there is no Edge technology!
Another thing is our cable providers!
They are the real men! They provide “64KBPS” yes it’s 64 K”B”PS at Rs. 450/- per month!
Unfortunately, I don’t have that cable operator here! Another Bad Luck L
