Hello all,
I am having some doubt as to why my 80 conductor cable is detected as "40 at device" in Intel applcation accelerator.
Today i replaced the 40 conductor cable with an 80 conductor one to realise the full potential of the dvd writer. Liteon dvd writer is Secondary Master and cd writer is Secondary Slave. Now the dvd writer is working in ultraDMA 4 mode and the cd writer is functioning in ultraDMA 2 mode(same as 40 conductor). The bios is detecting both the primary and secondary cables as 80 conductor cables. But the Intel Applicatin Accelerator report for dvd writer is reporting as Cable Type (Device): 40 Conductor, Cable Type (Host): 80 Conductor.
And for cd writer it is reporting as Cable Type (Device): 40 Conductor, Cable Type (Host): 40.

But for the hard disks it is reporting as 80 conductor for both Device and Host.
Everything is working fine at the moment, but i am a little concerned about the wrong info.

Below i am copying and pasting the Inter application accelerator report, tell me what is the problem.
