I'd hate to say this but many problems come when the usb cord is pulled out slightly. try unplugging printer from computer uninstall drivers, reboot reinstall and you should be prompted to plug in the printer. is the spooler service running (either look in task man, or services.msc), when it is installed and you open 'printers & faxes' (control panel) is there a check next to the lexmark?

i checked with the cords everything is right
one thing i noticed is that the USB controller is not working properly but on the same USB port A JetFlash pendrive works fine.spooler is running;the printer is not getting detected only !!!
anyways thanx 4 suggestion. Tell me if u can find ny better idea !!

hmm the usb cord for the printer might be damaged then, if you try a different usb port you should get a prompt "found new hardware" if not you may need to buy a new usb cord

Dude, if you notice any problems with the USB controllers, then reinstalling the USB/Motherboard drivers is the only answer to it. As far as the pen drive is concerned. It doesnt' require much power from your USB port. Hence problems as such might not affect your pendrive.
Try updating or reinstalling the motherboard USB drivers
