Vista: Problems After changing the default program instalation directory

I have created a seperate partition for program files of vista. Then i changed the default program installation directory by changing the value of "programfilesdir" in registry. Now i am facing lots of problems. The following programs are not opening
windows movie maker,windows photo galary, windows dvd maker etc.
Also there s no gadget in sidebar after doing this reg change.

Plz tell me how to deal with these problems

is ur systemrestore still working ? if it is try that option 1st !

No i do t wana restore my system but i want to put all program files on another partition. In XP this trick works fine but how can i do that in vista without any problem
