check out this screenshot. a frien of mine has an mtnl unlimited connection and he's getting 33 mBps.
http://www.viewzreviewz.com/33small.jpg
though he got this speed only for an hour or so, he consistently gets 2mBps+ even though his scheme is a 256kBps one.
PS - check out the first minimized window, and you'll know that he's putting the insane speeds to gud use :)

First of all it is 33Mbps. Secondly, what type of connetion is he using? Cause if its ADSL, doesn't that give like a maximum of 8Mbps?

There is a problem with the DataOne speed calculllator, Copy pest this url,
http://speedtest.dataone.in:83/bandwidthmeter/results.php?kbps=8400000.8&downloadtime=11.047&KB=1133.875&recorded=1
Edit that Color String to any thing and see the result ur self !!!!
:)
And Same with Calcutta Telephones....
http://www.calcuttatelephones.com/bandwidthmeter/results.php?kbps=83800000.3&downloadtime=10.781&KB=1103.25&recorded=1
:)
yeah GoobiMama is right, with ADSL i guess its 8MBPS and with ADSL +2 its 25mbps is the MAX a connection could ever go, where as with BSNL ur Line doesnt suppose more than 2mbps :( in some place where u have IP TV there the Internal Network is 8MBPS !!!!!
