Hi all, I know that there has been several discussions regarding this.. but still... :D
I am planning to purchase a laptop, in less than a month's time... My maximum budget is 60K and nothing more than that, other than maybe a few hundreds.. I need a laptop which can act as a desktop replacement, mainly 'coz I am planning to shift places and I won't be taking my PC with me. I need a lappy that has at leaast the folowing specs:
1. A nice C2D proccy, with equally good MoBo (I know very little about these components, so please do not ask me to decide myself)
2. 120GB HDD
3. 1 GB RAM (2GB is very much welcome)
4. 17" widescreen display would be good
5. DVD writer
6. A dedicated graphics card ( again, I know very little about GFx cards)
7. A good battery
8. Win XP is more than enough for me.. but I find very little lappies with XP now.. most are bundled with Vista..
I am not a software professional, as most of you know.. I need this lappy to also be able to play recent games decently.. and of course handle multimedia..
P.S.: I won't be able to make an online purchase, and I want to pay in installments, so a lappy available from retail sellers is preferable.. However, I'd like to know if there's any option of EMI paymnt available for online purchases.. I have a CC, but the max credit amount is only 40K.. so its pretty useless..!! :D
