Hello Gentlemen,

I have a P4 2.8GHz on Intel D865GBF motherboard. I recently plugged into my USB pin, a hard disk that was connected to an IDE to USB convertor. But my PC said that the device can perform faster if plugged into a hi speed usb port. I tried it with all the ports on the motherboard, but the same message displayed. And the device(hard disk) did not show up in "My Computer". ALso an error message stated "Windows does not recognise the device. It may be malfunctioning"

MAy i know whats the problem?? Does my motherboard support USB 2.0 or not?? Should I buy a USB 2.0 PCI board or what??

Kindly help me please..
