I am find a performance approx. 20% in performace difference between PATA & SATA Hard disk in case of Dual Core and C2D Processors. I request Forum Members to pass Remarks & important to upgrade knowledge.

20% sounds an exaggeration
but there will be a differrence....and it is not specific for dualcores

the HDD transfer rate is not dependent on processors..
well PATA and SATA are two very different technologies.. SEAGATE gave a 20 minute video on this issue.. even the SATA II does not mean that it will have a 300 mb/s transfer rate.. there are many factors .. but SATA is much much faster then PATA..

I have Both with C2D !!! SATA-II, SATA and PATA, only thing which i noticed that placing the page file on SATA-II (cosidring that OS in a Diffrente Drive) give a little fast system :)
My Config, C2D E6600 / P5E-E SLi / 3GB DDR-II
