In reply to the Michelin Challenge Design 2006 (http://www.michelinchallengedesign.com/MCD_2006/Site/mcd_gallery_2006/mcd_home_2006.asp), some guys have come up with 2 really unique bike models worth giving a try.
BAAL (http://www.michelinchallengedesign.com/MCD_2006/Site/mcd_gallery_2006/mcd_2006_gallery_m06.asp) & Hyanide (http://www.michelinchallengedesign.com/MCD_2006/Site/mcd_gallery_2006/mcd_2006_gallery_m07.asp) by Tilmann Schlootz & Oliver Keller of Germany rock. The bikes are based on a bendable rubber track that guarantees maximum traction as well as freely changeable directions. PopSci calls them Your Very Own Personal Tank; deep mud, sand and snow are no match for this go-anywhere mutated motorbike. With a 60hp 500cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder which takes the bike to about 80mph, this mean machine is just waiting to happen.
