any ideas when ddr3 is coming out
one full year atleast as till date no chipset is only DDR3 compatible, those which supports DDR-III also Supports DDR-II so, maximum of Mian Bord builders are not willing to shift to DDR-III plat form...
once any chipset support DDR-III only comes to the market then only we can see many boards with that slot comming to market...

Chipset for DDR-III has already released. Will be in available in international market within a month or 2. In India, might take upto 6 months.
Check the link for confirmation.

So, what's wrong if you have a chip which supports both? Are you trying to say that if there is a chip that supports only DDR-III, the performance is going to be better?
This is going off topic, once again, is the RAM been sold? I've quoted my prices above if you are willing to sell
