hey guys
im playing the original version of battlefield 2 on my new laptop with vista home premium, 1.6 ghz core2 duo, 1gb ram, nvidia gf7600go
i have updated all drivers thru windows and HP update.
im playing the game in admin mode and with windows xp sp2 compatibility with themes disabled(aero disabled)
when i play the game in single player mode offline, it runs smoothly.
but when i play it online , it crashes to desktop after 2-3 mins in to the game play. this happens only with the online mode. havent updated game.
when i did it, i had trouble finding server with 1.41 patch. andthey all demanded unpatched game.
please help. im frustrated getting the game to play online.
and yes my settings r 800X600 and low setings (for multiplayer sakes)
also i read somewherte on the net that if i play offline with 32-64 players, game becomes unstable and crashes.
and i suppose the game crashes in online mode while playing all 3 maps-small, medium, large

Do this

1) Start -> Type firewall

2) Open Windows Firewall, go to exception tab shown on the top. Click on Add program & add Battlefield in the program list. & click on unblock

3) If this doesn't works , let us know, U will need to make an exception in Windows firewall, if firewall is the curlpit here.

However, if this fails then it is a problem with the game.,
