which is the best codecs pack for playing movies of almost all types(avi,divx,real,etc etc) ......any good recommendations please....

Real media will be played by real player only (but there are some alternatives).

For the rest K-lite is the best. It can play most of the formats.
Try Video lan VLC player, which includes codec pack as well. It also plays most of the formats, also being light w.r.t. system resource.

once again klite codec pack doesnt play anything
it is a codec pack
which just installs the codecs on ur system
any player will first search for the available/installed codec on ur system then check it with the codec in use in the file ... and play it if available ...

with klite codec pack u can also play real and quicktime files in media player classic
however this is in violation of the TOS/EULA of real and QT ...

u also get GSpot which tells u which codec is use in a file ..

and plus real player alternative and Quick time alternative
then you can play anytime of videos!!!!!!
