not able to use p2p softwares..what to do?

hi ppl,
i just shifted to net4india broadband after many of my freinds said that it was very good in speeds..well finally i get slapped in my face when i find out that none of my p2p softwares including bit torrent are not conencting ..i call up the broadband guy and ask why is this happening..and then he says that thsoe p2p s/ws wont work.. :? :shock: :? ..
so now i am stuck for 1 year with this creap of a conenction with which i cant even download anything..
so people please suggest me something with which i can hopefully resume downloading stuff from the net with reasonable speeds..

SIGHHHH Man another victim of broadband with a very good port blocking facility at hand.....well man hate to spill the beans out to u but aint much u can do about this....try Http tunnel or Grokster at the most for unblocking those port (which rarely works out :().....Btw try at late night hours as some firewalls of Isp's usually shutdown at these times.... :)

Give it a try
Try port TCP Number 80 or 8080 as its never blocked you might be lucky.

Actually its not just port based. They block the protocol itself. Thats the reason why even a port change wont work.

same problem here . got sify 96 kbps unlimited .
got in touch with tech staff , they say they would unblock those ports 4 me . these r shut coz regular user dont use them .
but lime wire works 4 me . try changing the port here frm 6346 to 6345 . worked 4 me .
called them today , argued 4 sometime that i aint gonna check just mail on this account , dial-up is sufficient 4 that . after a while they said would do the need full n would compensate me 4 the time lost !!! HOWZZZAT :twisted: :twisted: :twisted:

i got this http tunnel client from its main site not http tunnel NG which alib_i had mentioned..i got http tunnel v2.7.1583 or sumthing...and i got the key too which gives me high bandhwith too..but how do i configure it?
in configuration what do i write?
it asks for proxy server or i can tick mark no proxy,only firewall..what should i do?
pls someone help in detail..as my http tunnel version differs from his.

It will depend if you are using proxy or no.
