but it definitely is a good thing if it is in India,as u cant compare the cost of alienware's with this one.

Yeah...he lives up the road from my place and he's into all this in a big way. He's also the first person that I know of that is manufacturing custom cabinets (albeit at a small scale at the moment...) He's graduated to Castrol 4T oil for the cabinets now! :)

There's also the Warhead cabinets he's making which are modeled to look like an actual missile warhead...with fans at both ends...

And yeah, its all based right here in Bangalore!

can you post a snap of it, specially the cooling system, i want to see....

no offense intended but to me it seem to be a fake..

^^^ yeah mainly the mobo part and the Bose 7.1 spkr system.
a 915 chipset simply cant support a quad core proccy .
and the total config that he has posted ought to cost more than 4lakhs due to that Bose 7.1 spkr system cuz everybody here knows that Bose doesnt come cheap.

I just copy-pasted the sms he sent me to inform...BUT I'm going to his house today, so I'll clarify the MOBO config, and take a couple of pictures of the cabinet for you guys...

As for the price, that was just a guesstimate, you do realise I mentioned earlier that this system is a prototype which is not for sale?? The orders that have been booked haven't had a price fixed yet.

Excellent config but some questions,

1] Intel i915 (??) chipset mobo ----> 915 chipset supporting Quad core CPU ?? and also SLI and CF ?? not possible.

2] 4x R600 Quad-Sli ----> R600 is ATI's flagship card yet to be launched, how come it supports SLI ? Also it supports Crossfire and AFAIK there is no Quad CF till date.

3] Microsoft G15 Gaming Keyboard ----> MS G15 ???? isnt that made by Logitech ??

Last but not the least, i would like to know more about oil cooled part.

Waiting in anticipation :)

Bullshit.

R600 Demo pieces are out in Bangalore at the moment...and Quad-Sli => the equivalent setup for Crossfire. Dunno what you call it, I just say SLI for everything...

As for the motherboard, like I said...I'm not sure if that is correct myself, hence the question marks in my original post.

I'll just not say anything till I can get photos by today evening, shall I?

Yes...you will but real life happened guys!! I'm going out with my girlfriend tonight so these pics will have to wait, till like tomorrow morning I guess. If you really ARE desperate, I've given out the guys email id...nikhil.malo@gmail.com...you could contact him directly?? I'm sure he knows more about it, rather than my own half-baked knowledge based on second hand communication with him.

Does any mobo (915 or otherwise) in the market support two Quad core proccys ???

Genuine doubt..

And what is with the 2x150 GB in RAID 0 and then another 1TB HDD.... Man... Have u been drinking or dreaming, or has ur frnd made a fool of u?

And , but the looks of it ... R600 is Quad SLi :P ... seems ur friend just united nvidia and AMD :P

Also , u cannot have SLi-ed physx card's .. lol ...

bummer ..

No offence, but i just dont believe it.

If this is a joke, then I would half agree with your user title 'EVIL GENIUS'. coz you would have to be quite evil to make such a joke. but you didnt make it seem genuine enough, hence you are not exactly a genius.

common guys enuf with the taunts...
he does seems to have mentioned a few things that are currently not possible....
like slied ppus...using software SLI for this....sry man never heard such a thing being done with a ppu....
also i think he has confused the motherboard ..
by the way ... i also have this doubt....is there any mother board that supports dual quad cores (SLI must not be used in context with CPUs)

well 1tb drive from hitachi have already come in the market a week back...i hav read that they have 32 mb of cache....boy..they are going to be something...

also two distinct and separate setups of raid 0 in a single sys is possible.....like what he has mentioned....two 150 gb raptors and two 1 tb hitachi drives in separate raids....
it is possible thru the windows disk management....

does this guy whoever is buying this sys....is he going to use it in a hall......man a bose 7.1 is enuf for a pretty big room.

also isnt 2x1200W so much unnecessary...i suppose a single 1200 w or even a gud 1000w PSU will be more than enuf for such a sys.

also 1250 mhz ram are available by corsair kingston has come out with 1200 mhz rams. and ocz still maxed out at 1100mhz and mushkin at 1066 mhz....recently read a review in comp power user mag....but for utilizing the full potential of these rams they had to over clock the mobos...

and seriously this guy will be beating the alienware setups if such a thing is assembled....

I think he is taking us for a ride.

*I don't get any logic about "Intel 915 and 2 x Quad core procy"

*then 8 GB RAM that too 1200Mhz on 915?

*As many of our frnds said" 1 TB HDD"??

*42" LCD monitor?? What for ? Only for viewing movies.. But how will you work on it?

*2 sound cards ?? When only one is enough.. I wonder if two sound cards run on a single mobo simultaneously :??

I think even Bill Gates will be shocked to see this config
