Vista "Not responding"

Wit most of programs in my vista permium home i get this msg n it asks me to close down or check for problem....

esp wit a game nfs carbon...my webcam soft etc....

plus i guess speed is also nt satifactory for my cnfg-

amd turion64 x2 tl-52
1 gb ddr667
256 nvidia geforce go 6150

for NFS Carbon, run it in "XP Compatibility mode"

^ Even i do it ven i play games on my dads pc. but my xp stil remains my fav for gaming.

ofcourse 1st thing i tried is 2 run on xp compatibility...its nt d issue i guess coz in otherr hp laps was also comin same...even wit xp home...

errors i get is it starts wit welcome screen then pops out giving not respndng msg
